Hagopian is an accomplished and prolific writer. This book is a 570-pages long catalogue of pedophilia in America, and it is only 1 of a 5-book series, covering the world.
Joachim’s anger and passion come out right from the start. He comes across not as a typical researcher/scholar with his head buried in books and historical documents, but an angry, working-class warrior itching to take up the sword and wreak vengeance on the bad guys. He could be your jr. high wood shop teacher from New Jersey, who also coaches the wrestling team. He reminds me of the type of guys you see on the municipal courts sometimes, playing pickup hoops. Guys who play like bulls and win on grit rather than a flawless 23 ft. jump-shot. Guys who can defend and rebound and get most of their points by muscling their way into the paint for a scrappy layup or 6-footer. You know, like a Barkley rather than a Marbury.
