PSA for Montana locals
Cuisine Alert: also an excuse for non-locals to come on out and savor the flavor of the Bitterroot
I always check the signboards on the local restaurants here in the valley. I was blown away yesterday by the news. Subway has a new toaster!
In other news, you’re not going to believe it, but I’ve been hired by the mainstream media. Long story short: I’m having coffee with fellow local ‘content creator’ Dave Williams, and we’re talking about our respective media work. He’s impressed by my success with kla.tv interviews and a couple days later sends me a want ad that KTMF, the local FOX/ABC affiliate in Missoula sent out. They’re looking for a new anchor!
“Dave, they wouldn’t hire me in a thousand years. I’m not a Covidian!”
“Give it a try.”
So I sent in the resume, showing them my kla studio presentation work and some choice interviews, leaving out the David Icke interview and other reptilianesque stuff, and they called me up. One thing leads to another and I’m up in Missoula at KTMF, sitting in front of the programming director and news editor at a conference table overlooking the icy Clark Fork river. Two weeks later I’m back for a second interview and it’s then I feel I have to be somewhat candid with these guys. The conversation was surprising.
“I should let you guys know I’m fairly non-mainstream.”
-We gathered that from your kla.tv work. Not a problem. In fact, we consider ourselves largely outside the norm.
-I didn’t buy into the whole covid response by our government and media.
-Neither did about half the people who work here.
-I think the country is going down the drain, and it’s unlikely there’s a solution within our current political system. (doing my best to get fired before I’m hired)
-So does Corey, our political editor.
-But aren’t you guys connected to ABC and FOX corporate in New York?
-We do our best to remain independent. Montana has an independent spirit and we need voices like yours. There’s a demand for it. Remember, we’re a business, after all and we have to represent the will of our viewers to a large extent. We can’t go completely woke out here in Western Montana.
So they’re going to put me in the lowest viewership slot on the weekend. I’m going to slay the dragon from the inside.
Only in Montana!
