After the Big Beautiful Bombing of Saturday evening, I felt compelled to rally the troops and arrange a pow-pow to discuss the Iran situation. On such short notice, I could only get two takers; Chris and Will came in Tuesday morning and we talked about Iran and tangental issues. My other previous roundtable guests were interested, but busy. Ed Polinsky sent in an apology with a quick thought on the subject.
Sorry Dan

I think it was an egregious action taken by our leadership. Iran was no real threat to the US. The Zionist underpinnings here are very troubling. It seems the whole country is captured or controlled by forces that want America destroyed. It greatly saddens me that we have abdicated our moral obligation to stand for the truth in the country God so richly blessed. We are no longer the “Shining city on the Hill” leading the world for to what is true and good. Perhaps that ended before I was born, or perhaps it was a grand illusion all along, and I’m just now seeing behind the curtain.
I would also add that this attack is contrary to our constitution. The justification for a unilateral act like this bombing appears to be based on conjecture. Our president needs to dial back his reactionary nature. This is not about him. Too much human life at stake to make decisions like this. Arrogance will destroy any good he may accomplish. Even the President is accountable to the people of this once great nation!
“a grand illusion all along”. I think it might be prudent to explore this question (not saying I agree- but it’s worth considering)
