Recently someone asked me, “Why are you doing this BBR thing?”
-’cause I’m the only person I trust (for getting the truth out in alternative media).
That’s what came to my mind for a quick answer, but it’s not all true. There are plenty of alternative, dissident journalists, bloggers, vloggers, etc. who I think are genuine and doing their best.
To name a few, if I were trying to enlighten a friend who leans right, but is a long way from ‘awakened’, I might steer him to David Knight. For someone who leans left, I would suggest Jimmy Dore. To someone afraid of being called a conspiracy theorist I might introduce him to the calm and collected voice of James Corbett. I believe all three of these guys are acting in good faith.
Here’s a little test you can use when asking yourself, ‘Can I trust this guy/gal?’
Are they on board with the Covid fraud?
Do they subscribe to the official version of 911?
Are they a little too slick, making gobs of money?
Are they part of the Red Heifer brigade?
When grading your dissident news hero, if you answer ‘NO’ to all four questions, he’s probably on the good side. To be clear, the reliable-or-dubious test above is just to streamline our search for truth with our limited time (as in, should I watch this 1 1/2 hour Dennis Prager video? [answer: No.] ) , but I don’t think someone should be dismissed because he fails on any part of the above . Journalists who fail on one or even all these points might still produce plenty of good, honest content. For example, Aaron Mate has plenty of important truths to dish out in terms of what’s happening in Gaza and the middle east. He’s solid on points 2, 3 and 4, but if memory serves, he’s a Branch Covidian.
Jordan “Get your damn’ vax!” Peterson also fails on point 1 (as well as points 2, 3 and 4) but he’s got a lot to say about the perniciousness of woke.
Tucker Carlson has been darn good on Covid, but he’s belittled 911 ‘truthers’, has made tons of money and therefore has had to please his masters, and apparently he wears the red kabbala bracelet.
I don’t know Elon Musk’s take on 911, but I think he’s been pretty solid on point 1. Of course he fails on point 3 and you musk ask, “How did he become so rich and where did the money come from? And on point 4 he also fails; after tweeting some reasonable things about the current slaughter and genocide in Gaza, he was made to don the little hat and take part in the proverbial walk of shame and contrition at Auschwitz.
The Red Heifer Brigade (my newly-coined term after strange goings on in Jerusalem) are writers, journalists, bloggers, etc. who engage in the limited hangout, truthtelling on all kinds of subjects, but when it comes to the misdeeds of Those whom Kristi Noem has made it illegal to criticize, they are silent, preferring instead to maintain their good standing with the check writers. People who immediately come to mind are Tim Poole, Charlie Kirk, Ben Shapiro (obviously) and the above-mentioned Peterson, Prager and Musk. Candace Owens seems to have broken free, but she's far from passing with flying colors on the reliable/dubious test above, so we'll have to wait and see.
Too many whom you once wanted to trust fail the test. RFK jr. was a great ray of hope, and now he’s kowtowing to Shmuley. I see today that even James O’Keefe is looking dubious. Sigh.
I guess you’ll just have to trust me. I’m batting a thousand on the test! (especially point #3)
By the way, if you still think Cap’n Starlink is on the good side, have a listen to Jon Rappoport’s latest article on ol’ Elon (4 min.):
Thank you Jon for giving me permission to rebroadcast your article! Here is the direct link on his substack. The Elon Musk-Matt Taibbi ugly divorce:
I agree about Jimmy Dore. My local pigeon population is also a reliable bunch. They have yet to steer me wrong.
Hi DW.
Would put Whitney Webb and The Last American Vagabond crew near the top of the 'trust' list. Although not specifically journalists ... as good candidates for an interview, I would suggest Catherine Austin Fitts and Chris Martenson.
Though this is probably old news to you, my 2¥ on "truth" and "narratives" ... https://thymuscures.substack.com/p/is-this-a-private-fight-or-can-anyone/comment/52273649
Cheers.
